Past

One day, just an average day, one guys sister brought home the most beautiful girl he had ever set his eyes on. She was staying for the next week, and somehow that week would change his life.

She was 13 and was with someone, he was 15. Despite this she showed a real interest in him, flirting and the rest.  This was the first time that someone had shown an interest in him, and he instantly went for it. Then two magical things happened. They were laying on his trampoline together, just enjoying each others company when he lay his head on her stomach, and it was the most intense feeling that he had ever felt, the feeling of love. Then the next day whilst playing hide-and-go seek, he grabbed her hand in a closet, and she squeezed it tightly. His heart immediately skipped a beat and from that moment on he knew that no-one else would be good enough, she was the one.

Sadly though she had to leave, for her journey came to an end, however it was the start of something new in his life. That night, after feeling an intense feeling of pain and misery in his stomach, he got her facebook, and talked to her for hours on end, even managing to chat to her face to face. This carried on, every day, without fail for over a year and a half, nearly two years. Without fail, they would talk to each other, unless something physically stopped them from doing so.

Over that period of time, her bf dumped her, and he asked her out 3 days later, at 2:15am, whilst she was at a sleepover. His heart was beating so fast, so hard, and when she said yes he was the happiest man alive. So many emotions; joy, happiness and most importantly love. A high of intoxicating emotions that would brew in his head for months to come. They fell more in love, and he thought that she was the one, the one for everything, the one who he wanted to loose everything to, the one who he could give anything to be with.

Despite this, arguments occurred, and he tried to heal them with his words, but somehow it never occurred that girls never forget. Then one day, after she had come back from skiing, he got the worst phone call of his life.

She didn’t feel the same way, his world shattered into thousands of pieces. He cried like he had never cried before, for days and days, hoping, praying that she would come back, but the call never came. He eventually picked up the pieces, and started to rebuild his shattered heart, yet despite this, he gave away a part of his heart that he can never get back, the love that he gave to his first love. Now all there is emptiness, and hole that can never be filled, a missing piece in the jigsaw of life.
